About the pattern

Keep your head cool while looking pretty with this knit lace bandana that features big hearts intertwined with smaller hearts.

Use cotton yarn for a summer bandana or thicker wool yarn for a cozy winter bandana.

The bandana is knit bottom up and includes a non-curling garter edge.

The pattern includes full instructions and charts (the same chart on A4 and A3 sized pages for ease of printing).

Size and measurements

When meeting gauge and working all rows in the pattern, the triangle measures 60 cm across the top and 28 cm in depth, due to the slight elasticity of the lace pattern.

Notions

Yarn: 50 g or 125-160 meters of size 2 cotton yarn at about 250-340 meters per 100 grams – for example 8/4 cotton yarn;

Needles and hook: 3 mm straight or cabled needles, 2.5 mm regular crochet hook;

Stitch markers: 2 markers;

Tapestry needle and scissors;

Blocking mat and pins.

Optional: one large bead (10-12 mm).

Gauge

27 stitches and 38 rows should measure 10 by 10 cm (4″ by 4″).
