Description

A bit about the pattern

This is a simple pattern for a gorgeous and easy to make shawl.

The meditative pattern is great for working on the shawl while traveling or while watching your favorite show.

Use a strand of lacy mohair to turn a lacy yarn into thicker yarn, perfect for a wintery shawl.

Skill level

Enthusiastic beginner – enthusiastic beginner with knowledge of popcorn stitches and extended stitches. You can follow along with a video tutorial and then continue working off pattern if you want to.

Finished size

If you use the recommended yarn, you will get a shawl that is about 140 cm or 55″ in length and 60 cm or 24″ in width.

Notions

You will need a cake of gradient yarn (approximately 800 meters or 200 grams of size 2 yarn). If you want to, you can use it with a companion lace-weight mohair yarn (800 meters – actual weight in grams may vary from one brand to another) and work with these held together.

Alternatively, you can choose any weight 3 yarn, also about 800 meters or more. You want something with a slight twist, to show off the popcorns.

You’ll also need a 3.5-4 mm hook (or hook that goes with your yarn) and a tapestry needle for weaving in the ends.
